ESTHER FARLEY

Esther Pauline Farley is a choreographer and multimedia artist based in Chicago whose work explores identity, nostalgia, and transformation through embodied storytelling. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. 

As a choreographer, Esther’s work has been recognized for its emotional clarity and theatrical sensibility. In 2025, she was invited back to the Boston Conservatory at Berklee as a guest choreographer. In 2024, she was commissioned as a choreographer by The LAUNCH Chicago. Esther’s work has also been presented at the Detroit Dance City Festival, Emergence Dance Festival and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. In 2023, she was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Grant from the Boston Conservatory, recognizing her achievements as both an artist and a leader in the field.

In 2023, Esther founded Bodies of Water, a Chicago-based dance collective and artist hub created to support artists at all stages of their careers. The organization is a space for interdisciplinary experimentation through workshops, residencies, live performances, and festivals. Esther is committed to creating meaningful, collaborative spaces for artistic growth, and continues to explore how movement can serve as a language for both individual and collective transformation.
