BRADE BRADSHAW
Brade is a director, educator, and performer dedicated to creating art that impacts individuals, celebrates identity, nurtures hope, and drives tangible change within our communities. Originally hailing from Texas, he has proudly called Chicago home for 8 years. He is the co-founder of the Salida Theater Project, an arts organization dedicated to cultivating courageous storytelling and community engagement. In his time at the Salida Theater Project, he directed Every Brilliant Thing, Lungs, and Almost Maine. His on-camera directing credits include DOOMSCROLL: The Web Series, which he also co-wrote and produced. Brade partnered with the High Valley Community Center in southern Colorado to develop and direct summer theatre programs for underserved youth, bringing in professional instructors from Chicago and New York City. He served as Assistant Director for Creede Repertory Theatre’s production of Pride and Prejudice and directed Bad Panda and Detroit with Out of the Box theatre company. He has spent two years teaching at Paramount School of the Arts, leading a wide range of classes for students from elementary age through adults. Brade holds a BFA in Acting and Directing from Oklahoma City University and completed the Emerging Professional Residency at Milwaukee Repertory Theater. Some previous acting credits include: Chicago Shakespeare Theater, The Second City, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, About Face Theatre, and Baltimore Center Stage. (bradebradshaw.com)
