RACHEL POSPISIL

Rachel Pospisil (she/her/hers) is a proud Oak Park-native and BRAVO/JTF alumna. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in directing and choreography and has since worked alongside Tony-winning and Tony-nominated directors on Broadway (Waitress), Off-Broadway (Gloria: A Life), internationally (Broadway premier of Pippin in Tokyo), and in regional theaters in the US (Drury Lane Theater). She was selected to be a part of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) 2018-19 Observership Program designed to recognize emerging directors and choreographers in the American theater scene. Her professional directing debut was in 2019 with Heathers: The Musical at Gatehouse Theater in SF. Through the pandemic, she has continued to collaborate on numerous projects around the country in theater, film and music as director, choreographer, performer, designer, and filmmaker. Notable projects include: Think (Music Video), N, Digress (Choreopoem), My Own Route (Non-traditional Flute Recital), bUt yOur EngLish iS sO gOoD (Choreopoem) and 40+ other projects. 

Aside from Carnegie Mellon University, she has trained at Hubbard Street Dance in Chicago and Westlake Dance Center in Seattle. She’s taught dance, voice and acting to students ranging from elementary to college age since 2015 in both Oak Park and Pittsburgh.
