SESSION 3: FULL DAY CAMP

Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR., adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the beloved motion picture. Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.

Encore is designed to provide aspiring performers with an opportunity to participate in the thrill of a Broadway-style learning experience. This two-week-long intensive course of study combines the excitement of singing, dancing, acting and honing artistic skills with learning, rehearsing and performing a full production musical in only 10 days! Encore Summer 2020 will be producing RENT, School Edition a story about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, it has become a pop-cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages.

DESCRIPTION:  Students will unleash their creative spirit and try their hand at writing, designing and directing an original musical they create together.

SESSION DATES: June 17 – August 5 | Wednesdays from 6-7pm

DESCRIPTION: The best way to hone your acting skills is through rehearsal. In this weekly class, students will learn different acting techniques through the rehearsal of a short play. There will be a final performance of the play at the end of the 8 weeks.
