Broadway Academy
Throughout the year, Ovation Academy produces up to 8 full-scale musical productions with students ages 6-18. Students rehearse 3 times weekly as they work to construct a 30-60 minute musical performance that is open to the public to enjoy. As they go through the process and experience what it takes to perform in a musical, students will hone their fundamental musical theater skills – singing, dancing, and acting – while gaining the confidence to take the stage in front of an audience. The program is perfect for students with prior experience, as well as beginners who are ready to jump into the exciting world of musical theater for the first time!
Shrek KIDS
Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he’s handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn’t be complete without a few twists and turns along the way…

Dot and the Kangaroo JR
Young, rambunctious Dot longs for an adventure exploring everything the country has to offer. When she finds herself lost and afraid in the darkening Australian bush, Dot befriends a wise mother Kangaroo who enlists the help of Australia’s favourite bush creatures to help Dot find her way back home.

Oliver! JR
The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, an underfed orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, the benevolent victim, Mr. Brownlow, takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.
