ALEX HAIRSTON

Alex is a North Carolina native who worked in film and television as a child.  After discovering a love for live performance, Alex studied Drama at the North Carolina School of the Arts where she received her High School Diploma. She went on to receive her BFA in Musical Theatre and Minor in Dance in 2014. Shortly after college, Alex set sail on the high seas on various contracts with Norwegian Cruise Line over the course of three years, before joining the US and Canadian Tour of Motown the Musical in 2018. Later that year she made her Broadway debut in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical as Janelle Woods. To date, Alex’s resume includes two additional Broadway shows, Diana and A Beautiful Noise (Original Broadway Cast), the 1st National Tour of Summer: The Donna Summer Musical where she portrayed the legendary disco queen Donna Summer, various television appearances, and the National Tour of Hamilton where she was Principle Standby for all three Schuyler sisters. She is thrilled to be a part of the Ovation team and looking forward to helping students, grow, thrive, and shine!
