LEE PETERS

With over 20 years of theatre experience, Lee has worn many hats including director, performer, teacher and administrator. He was the head of the Theater School in the current home of Ovation Academy on Madison street when it was Village Players Theatre. Some of his favorite directing credits include Bye Bye Birdie, It’s a wonderful Life and The Crown: A hip hop retelling of Hamlet, which he also wrote. Lee is an ensemble member with Playmakers Laboratory where he has been creating digital theatre since June 2019. Lee recently began a Digital Theatre Club at Belding Elementary where students practice creating stories and performing in digital spaces. He is happy to return to Ovation as part of the ENCORE team where he is serving as Directing Mentor on Heathers, the Musical.
